Very exciting! And all-consuming. I'm in the same place with my WIP. Only difference is that I'm paralyzed. There are several directions I could go with the final two chapters, by my protagonist is being annoyingly silent. I want what she wants and she's not telling me...anything. Thanks for the reminder that done is better than perfect.
Thank you - and good luck to you! One thing that has helped me with these final chapters is writing something that gets across how I want it to *feel*, the catharsis of the climax for each character, even if I'm not one hundred percent sure the action is right. (Also whether I got the events leading up to the climax right...) I'm also a firm believer that sometimes you have to write the wrong version in order to know what the right version is. That's always a pain...but you don't know it's wrong until you try it!
I'm feeling this, too. I'm almost done, done, done with this thing I'm working on - like, ready to query it. And it's literally all I can think about.
Yay for you! Cheering you on as you cross the finish line!
Thank you - and good luck to you with your revision! Ready to query is a *huge* milestone.
Way to go, Kathryn!! Almost there!
Thank you!! So close I can taste it!
